The ComfoD 300 has been developed for the use of balanced ventilation with heat recovery in apartments and smaller homes. In these systems, used air is extracted from the kitchen, bathroom, storage room and toilet. Fresh outside air is supplied to the living areas such as living rooms and bedrooms. The built-in heat exchanger transfers the heat energy of the extracted air to the supplied air before it is blown into the home. The ComfoAir 300 is only offered in a basic version and is available in a right and left version. The ComfoAir 300 is equipped with frost protection and 100% bypass as standard. The ComfoD 300 can be operated with a 3-position switch.
The thermal efficiencies of the ComfoD 300, measured in accordance with NBN EN 308 (see www.epbd.be), are: 84% at 253 m³/h and 82% at 303 m³/h.
The housing is made of coated plate with a plastic design front. The interior and duct connections are made of high-quality expanded polypropylene. The ComfoAir 300 is equipped with 4 air connections Ø 150/160 mm in an inclined plane of 45º. 45º bends have been placed on this, each of which can be directed upwards or to the side.
To drain condensation that may form in the unit and in the air exhaust to the outside, a plastic condensation drain with a Ø 32 mm connection has been installed on the bottom of the unit. To prevent condensation, the ducts from the exhaust air to the outside and the outside air intake must be insulated vapour-tight.
The ComfoAir 300 is equipped with a 100% bypass. The bypass serves to divert the exhaust air past the heat exchanger. The comfort temperature is adjustable. The bypass is automatically controlled based on the set comfort temperature and opens or closes depending on the difference between the indoor and outdoor temperatures. Through the bypass operation it is possible to ventilate the house directly with cooler night air in the summer.
The ComfoD 300 contains energy-efficient continuously adjustable DC motors with backward-curved blades. These aerodynamic blades make the ComfoD 300 less susceptible to dust deposits. The DC motors provide energy savings of 50 to 60% compared to AC motors.
The ComfoAir 300 is equipped with G4 filters on the inlet and outlet sides. Both filters can be easily removed and installed without tools. The ComfoD 300 has a flexible filter message. The resident can set that between 10 and 26 weeks they will automatically receive a message that the filters are dirty. This message is a signal for the resident to clean or replace the filters.
The ComfoD 300 is equipped as standard with automatic frost protection that prevents the heat exchanger from freezing during cold periods. The automatic frost protection will temporarily reduce the supply of cold air by slowing down the supply fan. The frost protection is controlled based on outside temperature, discharge temperature and time. The supply fan is rotated at a slow pace, so that the user is not inconvenienced. In regions where outdoor temperatures of -10 °C are regularly recorded, an electric preheater (optional) is recommended.
The ComfoAir 300 is equipped with a display with touch buttons with which the settings (speed / capacity, etc.) can easily be changed and data can be read.
The 3 speeds on the ComfoAir 300 can be set between 15 and 100%. The set percentages are activated with the 3-position switch.
You can also opt for radio control (RF type), which allows the unit to be operated wirelessly. To enable radio control, the RF upgrade kit must be installed.
The ComfoD 300 is equipped as standard with a 5-core cable for connection to a single phase 230V, 50Hz, as is common in residential ventilation. Free hanging cable length is 1.5 meters.
The ComfoD 300 can be switched to 'high' for a certain period of time using a bathroom switch/pulse switch in the bathroom. The duration can be adjusted on the display. The bathroom switch is connected to the ComfoD 300 with a 2-core low-voltage cable
